2021 – Week 3

The purpose: describe my past week in just one picture, boots my creativity vibes at the same time, and stop going through life one week at the time without even noticing it.

– Palm tree Leaf: living tropical

– Orchids: pretty much everywhere in Singapore except on my balcony (they don’t like me 😦 )

– Candles: my husband’s birthday 🙂 (no need to count the candles, I did not have enought!)

– Book: “les Petites Reines” de Clémentine Beauvais. A very good book about bullying.
– Ballet shoes: not for me, but because I’m deep into editing all my past weeks photoshoots with dancers

– Mask: yes still mandatory

2021 – Week 2

– Palm tree Leaf: living tropical

– Candles: one of my little princesses turn 6 this week 🙂

– Book: “Dans l’or du temps” de Claudie Gallay. The style reminded me a little bit of “L’étranger” from Albert Camus.

– Black board: an umbrella…. because it’s clearly the wet season and I feel like it’s been raining non stop for the last week – actually weekS!!!

– Mask: yes still mandatory

Week 46 of my new series: My Lay Flat Mondays!!
The purpose: describe my past week in just one picture, boots my creativity vibes at the same time, and stop going through life one week at the time without even noticing it.

So here it is! Week 46: Dec 22- Dec 28

– Palm tree Leaf: living tropical

– Flower: Ibiscus from my balcony

– Book: “How to Read a Photograph” from Ian Jeffrey (one of my Christmas gifts!!)

– Ornaments: because the major event of this week was of course Christmas!!!

(- Mask: yes still mandatory, and no I did not put it on, still I spent most of the week inside with my kiddos)

And that would be my last LayFlat Monday for 2020!! Yes, only 46 weeks … because I started this projet mid-February. I will start again in 2021 with a new background and new layout!

In the mean time wishing you all a wonderful party soon to celebrate the end of 2020!!

So here it is! Week 45: Dec 15- Dec 21

– Palm tree Leaf: living tropical

– Book: “Ghost in Love” from Marc Levy

– Chess pions: because this week-end the kids learned to play chess…. and want me to learn how to play too!

– Care Package: we can’t spend Christmas with my family in France, but my parents sent us lots of yummy things (delicious chocolates, cheese, saucisson, foie gras, cookies, …). The best parents ever!!

– Mask: still mandatory

– Book: “L’éducation dune fée” from Didier van Cauwelaert

– Black Board: my 8 years old being sick in bed, and her little brother (almost 3) going to her bedroom, carrying books and telling me before closing the door “no mummy, me taking care of her”.

– Wrapping papers: well quite usual at the season, plus Secret Santas this week at school

Week 43 of my new series: My Lay Flat Mondays!!
The purpose: describe my past week in just one picture, boots my creativity vibes at the same time, and stop going through life one week at the time without even noticing it.

So here it is! Week 43: Dec 01- Dec 07

– Palm tree Leaf: living tropical

– Book: “Un Sentiment pour fort que la peur” from Marc Levy

– Black Board: Spider!!! I know, it’s not Halloween anymore, but this is a drawing of a spider I met Saturday morning while walking to meet my clients for a family session. The thing was huge, black and slowing going down in front of me. I saw it and froze as I am terrified of spiders!! And yes I turned around and took a longer path to not have to walk by this monster, Of course neither my hubby nor my kids believed me when I told them that it was about the size of my hand…. so I looked it up… and that lady was a Nephila Pilipes, and is known to be about 20cm in size!!! (and I don’t need that big to be scared…). SO now I walk slowly if time I reach some slightly covered area, and scanned carefully all around….

– Advent calendars: we started our chocolate filled advent calendars on December 1st

– Book: “Complètement cramé!” from Gilles Legardinier

– Black Board: Thanksgiving!!! Yes, even living in Singapore we keep celebrating both US and french traditions, and among those Thanksgiving (and it’s mandatory turkey!!). And my awesome 10 years old took the challenge to draw the turkey for me and I’m very proud :-).

– Black Board: “The Lion King” – 2019. We watched this version for the first time, very very well done. The kids were asking every 5 minutes “Is that a real animal???”

– Painting Brush: hubby and the kids and building and painting a cardboard train!

– Playing cards: I played a lots cards with the girls this week-end (Jeu des 7 Familles – Happy Families)
